Jason Landry (b. 1972) is a photographer,
collector and writer residing in Boston, Massachusetts. After spending
10 years in the corporate world, he got out from behind the desk.
Through his interest in social portraiture, he has created various
bodies of work including a series on 'collectors' and on the topic
of 'the gaze'. His work has been exhibited locally and nationally
and is featured in many private collections.
In 2010, a solo exhibition of the series The
Collectors will be
on display at The Griffin Museum of Photography.
Jason Landry was born in Massachusetts and grew up in Greenland,
NH. He received a BFA in Photography from the Massachusetts College
of Art & Design in 2007 and a MFA in Visual Arts from The Art
Institute of Boston in 2009.
In 2008, Mr. Landry joined the Board of Directors at The Photographic
Resource Center at Boston University. Soon thereafter, he transitioned
into their interim Education Manager, then Project
Manager before
accepting a permanent position as Programs and
Operations Manager for the organization. Mr. Landry is also a frequent contributor to
the online art journal Big
RED & Shiny.
